Comparing Lactation Consultant Stepping Stone Credentials
While on your journey to becoming an IBCLC, you may want to look into lactation consultant stepping stone credentials. While IBLCE doesn’t have this as a requirement, many utilize this to work in various lactation-centered professions to gain hours or experience and help build their resume. Choosing a course can be overwhelming and daunting, so we’ve put together a quick fact sheet to simplify the process. While this list is not exhaustive, it outlines some of the most commonly selected courses. Many of these courses and programs offer the same general concept of pre-recorded videos you flip through at your own pace.
LiquidGoldConcept’s Pathway 3 Global Mentorship Program provides you with a minimum of 103 lactation-specific education hours, including 5 communication hours through live virtual consults with standardized patients, all while being mentored by one of our IBCLCs. After completing the education portion, you will receive ongoing mentorship from your LiquidGoldConcept IBCLC through the completion of your 500 clinical hours with your own patients. LiquidGoldConcept will run this program in small online cohort settings.
